What to expect:
The Bilingual Technical Graphic Designer is responsible for the design and layout of printed/ printable technical content, in English and French.
This role looks after the formatting and updating of classroom-based learning material to established PD standards. Utilizing the latest in industry best practices, and tools, this role works as part of our Graphic Design team to deliver graphically rich practical and theory-based technical material in a printable format appropriate for the target audience. Bilingualism (French/ English) in this role is required.
This includes:
- Document Layout and Formatting
- Graphic Design
- Print Quality Control
- Develop printed/printable instructional material
- Page and document layout and design
- Use tools and systems to manage and document assigned work.
- Works on additional special marketing projects
- Other duties as assigned.
In this position, you will report to the Learning Development Manager and will be working remotely from your home office in Canada. CWB has adopted a remote-first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. We are embracing radical flexibility, where employees are encouraged to work a schedule that works best for them, their team, and their clients.
What you bring to the table:
- Bilingual in English and French (Proficient in Reading, writing & speaking)
- 5+ Years Graphic Design experience
- Document Layout and Formatting
- Print Quality Control
- Proficiency with adobe creative suite (InDesign, illustrator, photoshop)
- Print production experience
- Digital design experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Meticulous and detail-oriented, consistently delivering precise and error-free work
- Works well individually and is self-directed, while still functioning as part of a team
- Uses appropriate work strategies to meet tight deadlines. This is a remote, work from home position and travel as required.
The following qualifications are considered assets:
- Familiarity with accessible workflows in InDesign and PDFs
- Education in Graphic Design, web design, multimedia design, art direction
- Equivalent work experience.
