We're currently hiring an Investment Specialist within our Libro Wealth Management Team.
This Investment Specialist works closely with our Libro Wealth Management Coaches to directly engage with high-net-worth Owners (customers), offering support, uncovering business opportunities. By proactively engaging Owners to offer support and uncovering business opportunities they will proactively enhance the Owner experience.
The focus of this role is on relationship management support and fulfilling licensed transactional requests (e.g., RRSP contributions, RIF withdrawals, etc.) The Investment Specialist ensures all opportunities are identified and referred to the appropriate representatives to build a full financial relationship supporting our Owners.
This role will be dually employed between Libro Credit Union and Aviso Wealth.
The Role:
- Effectively applies advice-based selling and interest-based conversations in all Owner interactions with a focus on investor discipline and behavior.
- Helps translate Owner goals and priorities into planning calculators.
- Completes transactional requests as required, at direction of Registered Representatives.
- Sustains relationships with Owner households that are appropriate for our Libro Wealth Management offer.
- Reaches out proactively to Owners and prospects, by responding to referrals, data insights and market intelligence.
- Builds strong partnerships with Libro’s Regional Financial Planners and other members of our Libro Wealth Management team to identify opportunities to support our Owners
- Responsible for meeting the compliance of established Libro and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Accountable for smart risk decisions that protect our Owners and Libro.
- Must maintain all continuing education and licensing requirements of the various regulators and self-regulating organizations: e.g., OSC, CIRO, Aviso Wealth, FP Canada etc.
What We’re Looking For:
- College/University graduate with a business, finance, and/or financial planning focus.
- Preference for Completion of Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (or willingness to complete within a specified time frame) and Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) required for future CFP certification.
- Work experience of 1-3 years with a sales focus in a customer service environment.
- Knowledge and curiosity of the various investment products Libro Wealth Management offers, specifically Managed Portfolios, mutual funds, GICs, etc.
- CIRO (formerly IIROC) Investment Representative licensed (or willingness to complete within a specified time frame.)
- Completion of, or willingness to work toward successful completion of the CFP designation.
- A passion for helping people grow their financial well-being.
