Description:

Reporting to the Facilitated Access to Specialized Treatment (FAST) Unit Manager, the Senior Consultant is responsible for driving quality improvement efforts within the FAST program, ensuring patient-centered, data-driven enhancements to access and service delivery. This role leads the identification, implementation, and evaluation of continuous improvement initiatives, applying evidence-based methodologies to optimize workflows and reduce barriers to specialty care. Leveraging data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change management expertise, the Senior Consultant fosters collaboration across system partners, enhances informed decision-making, and drives meaningful innovation. By integrating quality frameworks, patient feedback, and performance metrics, this role ensures sustained improvements that align with Primary Care Alberta's (PCA) mission, vision, and values.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility in area of expertise in a related environment, preferably within health care. Experience in planning and implementation in a healthcare organization. Demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and with a broad spectrum of stakeholder (both within and outside of the organization). Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including patients/clients, families and caregivers. Knowledge and evidence in change management principles with proven ability to foster a culture of change acceptance, adoption and advocacy. Requires exceptional verbal, written and listening skills to comprehend, create and communicate concepts and options to a broad variety of people at different levels of the organization who have different skills and expertise. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a large, complex organization with a variety of staffing groups. Proficiency with the following systems and programs: Connect Care, Alberta Netcare, Genesys, RightFax, MS Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Tableau, Excel, Word. Ability and willingness to travel within the designated region to community clinics, physician offices and partner sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree. Certification in quality improvement approaches such as AHS AIW Green belt, Lean Six Sigma, Institute for Health Improvement. Certification in change management principles such as PROSCI preferred.
