We’re a Product Management team on a mission to develop an innovative solution that empowers companies globally to simplify, unify, and transform the smart living experience for their customers. We are creating TELUS SmartHome+ Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings that enable our customers to sell differentiated services and facilitate rapid scaling. Your deep understanding of the smart home market will play a critical role in shaping the future of smart living globally.**
What you’ll do:
As a Back-end Product Owner, you will work closely with Feature Owners, Software Development Managers, Technical Leads and Engineers to deliver world class service to end‑users around the world.
Specifically you’ll:
- Be embedded within an Agile development squad, working with engineering leaders to set sprint goals and define the highest value problems for the team to solve
- Break Features down into Epics and User Stories that can be delivered in a single sprint, and create acceptance criteria definitions to guide design, development, testing
- Build, prioritize and manage your squad’s backlog of work related to new capabilities
- Ensure dependencies are mapped and work with engineering leads to plan sprints
- Define and measure performance Qualifications
What you bring:
You are likely in a similar product focused position today, but with a strong technical background. You are or have:
- Customer‑first mindset, with a track record of applying this to a diverse range of personas, including highly technical user
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in product management or development, using Agile methodologies
- Known for your ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex dependencies
- Exceptional storyteller with the ability to simplify messages to any audience
Great‑to‑haves:
We’re especially motivated to connect with people that have one or more of the following:
- Both B2B and B2C or B2B2C experience
- Global or multi‑market product management experience
- Strategic understanding of smart home and IoT technologies
- Expertise in any of the following: authentication, authorization, AI/ML, rules engines, event management, IoT device life cycle management, electrical engineering or grid management
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent practical experience; MBA is an asset
Salary Range:
$94,000‑$140,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:
12%
