Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an Investment Advisor Assistant to provide support to an established Chairman’s Club Investment Advisor within a face-paced team environment. The successful incumbent must be resourceful, self – motivated and have a strong work ethic. This is a 15-month contract with potential extension and/or to become permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Working directly with a team where the focus is on client relationships and building a sustainable wealth management business.
- Processing and confirming client transactions, managing client files, scheduling appointments, and coordinating client meetings.
- Deal directly with clients, provide quotes and execute trading orders.
- Maintain account lists and compile statistical information and reports.
- Manage and maintain systems that ensure appropriate organization, timely updates and regular follow ups to substantiate smoother operations and resolution of outstanding tasks.
- Process and follow-up on client documentation for new accounts and maintenance of existing accounts.
- Servicing existing & new clients, providing timely support, and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Coordinate business meetings; preparation of business correspondence, presentations, meeting materials, completing monthly and quarterly reports across multiple platforms in a timely manner.
- Liaise with clients, back office and outside intermediaries to resolve client inquiries.
- Successfully manage and prioritize an always evolving complex workload.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including those related to client privacy and confidentiality.
- Be accessible and prompt throughout the day.
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Completion of CSC, CPH and licensed with CIRO required.
- 2+ years of related experience, with a well-rounded knowledge of the securities industry.
- Good working knowledge of Dataphile is an asset.
- Intermediate computer skills: advanced proficiency of MS Office programs.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional prioritization skills with an ability to take initiative and remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently meet deadlines, and multi-task.
- Exemplary attention to detail and accuracy, both in written and verbal correspondence with clients, internal and external sources.
- Ability to work independently, and effectively with employees and clients at all levels.
