ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are hiring for a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager , depending on experience. We're looking for someone who is driven, accountable, and highly available — someone who is ready to take ownership , solve problems , and grow into senior leadership .
Whether you bring years of senior experience or are stepping into your first major PM role, we want someone who is:
- Committed to showing up fully each day — engaged, prepared, and focused.
- Available and reliable during core working hours; this role requires full attention and presence.
- Motivated to learn and grow, with an eye toward senior responsibilities and leadership.
- Respectful of company time and expectations — your professionalism matters here.
- Eager to tackle challenges and dive into the details without hesitation.
- Capable of working at the pace and complexity of our large-scale projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own project results: budget, schedule, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Manage project teams: coordinators, superintendents, and site support staff.
- Lead client meetings and report on progress, risks, change orders, and solutions.
- Develop and maintain project execution, safety, and QC plans.
- Drive design processes, collaborate with engineers, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
- Present and speak to project reports clearly and professionally.
- Handle scope planning, change orders, and vendor negotiations.
- Maintain documentation and ensure project alignment with Colony standards.
- Maintain a site presence and engage in direct, proactive project leadership.
- Mentor others and demonstrate a team-first, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Protect Colony’s interests — legally, financially, and reputationally — with all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects, ideally structural steel and design-build.
- Comfort navigating complex projects and shifting priorities with clarity and focus.
- Ability to take initiative, self-manage, and maintain high availability during work hours.
- Clear communicator, organized thinker, and solutions-oriented leader.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, pricing, and safety/QC requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other modern project tools.
- Driven to learn and grow; motivated to move into a senior leadership role over time.
- Demonstrated stability and follow-through in past roles.
- Personal integrity, accountability, and respect for your team’s time and trust.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- PMP designation or similar is a plus.
- Applicants with less experience but high drive and clear growth potential are encouraged to apply.

Since our inception in 1985, we have constructed over 500 buildings on 4 continents: from large-scale international mining projects to community sports centers to local storage and warehousing projects. We represent multiple steel building manufacturers and can offer a wide range of commercial and industrial buildings in pre-engineered steel, conventional steel, or a hybrid of both. We also specialize in general contracting, structural steel and interior fit-out projects.
