What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Measurement and Insights, the Manager, Media Analytics & BI Enablement will be responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of reporting, data ETL processes, and visualizations that support Marketing and Media’s digital and direct organizations. This is an individual contributor role (not a people manager position).

You will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and complex queries to build data assets, dashboards, and reports that empower a wide range of marketing and media users—including Paid Media, Sales Data, and Site Traffic (Adobe Analytics)—in their daily operations. A key focus of this role is the stewardship of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama), our central data visualization and ETL platform, ensuring seamless data integration and insightful visualizations.

Collaboration is essential: you will work closely with the Paid Media teams (Paid Search, Programmatic, Paid Social), as well as cross-functional partners across Marketing and Media, external consultants, and line-of-business data experts. Together, you will deliver on a roadmap of diverse data products that provide actionable insights into CIBC clients, their digital behaviors, journeys, transactions, media interactions, and more.

NOTE: This is a temporary (12 months) opportunity.

How you’ll succeed

  • Business and Systems Expertise - Serve as a subject matter expert in data visualization and aggregation tools, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama), Alteryx, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, SQL
  • Media and Media Reporting Knowledge - Demonstrate strong expertise in media and media reporting. A deep understanding of paid media data, metrics, and reporting practices is essential for success in this role.
  • Business Acumen - Possess strong business acumen, connecting the dots between multiple data deliverables, dependencies, and desired outcomes. You excel at simplifying complex concepts and translating business needs into technical solutions for data product delivery.
  • Troubleshooting and Analytical Thinking - Proactively seek resolutions to issues and roadblocks throughout the program lifecycle. You identify and engage the right stakeholders to resolve outstanding items, and ask insightful questions to uncover the answers you need.
  • Accountability - Demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple concurrent initiatives effectively.
  • Nice to have but not essential - Power BI, Databricks, or other ETL/data visualization tools

Who you are

  • You bring 3+ years of experience developing enterprise-level data pipelines, ETL processes, and visualizations, with hands-on expertise working with media data using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms and tools for data aggregation and visualization.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama), Adobe Analytics and media reporting.
