Pinchin is seeking a Project Manager to join our Occupational Health & Safety team in Richmond. The role reports to the Operations Manager. This is an existing role.
Our Team
The OHS division provides integrated solutions to construction, industrial, commercial, and manufacturing clients who require support in assessing and implementing various health and safety and industrial hygiene programs in their workplace. The combined skills of our industrial hygiene and safety professionals, their diverse backgrounds in safety assessments, auditing, program development and worker exposure surveys provide our clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.
We also recognize that consulting can sometimes carry a reputation for long hours and limited flexibility — that’s not how we operate. Our team works in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to work from home when project demands allow. We support flexible working hours wherever possible, and when overtime is required, we aim to provide options for paid overtime or time in lieu. Our goal is to create a sustainable, supportive environment that allows our team to deliver high-quality work while maintaining strong work-life balance.
Department Overview
Pinchin’s Occupational Health & Safety Consulting Division delivers practical, science‑based solutions to help clients manage workplace health risks and meet regulatory requirements. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the team provides technical expertise, project leadership, and client‑focused consulting services while supporting staff development and the continued growth of the OH&S practice. You can expect a flexible, supportive work environment with an opportunity to grow into senior leadership roles.
Your Impact
- Prepare proposals and project budgets
- Develop OH&S policies, programs, and procedures
- Conduct on-site assessments and audits, and complete reports
- Conduct or manage occupational hygiene surveys
- Develop and deliver OH&S training courses (in-house and external)
- Review the work of assigned employees and colleagues to ensure it meets the standards established for Pinchin work
- Provide technical mentorship and training to team members
- Client development and marketing
What You’ll Bring to Pinchin
- A university degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, chemistry, or physics, or a degree that’s closely related
- Professional health and safety designation: e.g. CIH/ROH/CRSP/CSP or actively working towards certification an asset
- 3 or more years of occupational hygiene and/or safety experience with sound knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation (e.g. WorkSafe BC, Canada Labour Code, etc.)
- Consulting or project management experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, professional presentation, and technical expertise
- Proven writing skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Familiarity with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management
- Excellent customer services skills
- Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license required for lower mainland travel (all reimbursable) and availability to travel out of town on occasion
