The Opportunity: Governance, Legal and Regulatory Coordinator
Role As a Governance, Legal and Regulatory Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Secretary function and the broader governance, legal and regulatory portfolio by:
- Working in close partnership with the Chief Governance and Legal Officer and the Board of Directors, to enable the effective operation of the Board and its committees through high-quality coordination, documentation, and process management.
- Supporting compliance with corporate governance requirements, aligning practices with established governance frameworks, and promoting best practices across Board and executive level operations.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end coordination of Board and Committee meeting cycles, including annual scheduling, logistics, and timely distribution of materials.
- Coordinate the Annual General Meeting of members, ensuring compliance with governance, regulatory, and bylaw requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate Board and Committee materials, including draft agendas, standing and ad hoc reports, resolutions, and supporting documentation and adherence to governance standards.
- Maintain the accuracy, and completeness of corporate records, including minute books, resolutions, and statutory documents, ensuring compliance with applicable governance, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Administer and continuously improve the Board portal (e.g., Diligent Boards), ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, and an effective user experience for Directors and senior leaders.
- Provide executive support to the Chief Legal and Governance Officer, including calendar coordination, meeting preparation, briefing materials, communications, and workflow management to enable effective prioritization and decision making.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in governance, regulatory compliance, corporate secretarial support, executive support, or a related role, ideally within a regulated or compliance driven environment.
- Post-secondary education in business, law (e.g., law clerk), public administration, financial services compliance, regulatory compliance or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing minutes and supporting formal governance documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including strong document formatting and presentation preparation skills. Experience with governance platforms such as Diligent Boards is required.
- Tech savvy and quick to learn new systems, with strong data management and records retention discipline.
- Experience supporting a Board of Directors and/or a Corporate Secretary is an asset.
- Experience in financial services or financial industry associations is an asset.
Location: Remote, with some travel to assist with meetings.
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
Canada: $64,000 - $88,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role and level. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
