About the role
Join an exciting project as a Podcast Producer, focusing on the development and production of a factual video/audio podcast inspired by a renowned television series. This role requires hands-on involvement in all stages of podcast creation, from concept development to final production, ensuring high-quality audio and visual content. You will collaborate closely with the Digital Lead and contribute creative ideas to shape the direction of the show. The position is based in Toronto, with a hybrid work arrangement available, but candidates must already reside in the Toronto area due to on-site requirements. This is a single project engagement with the possibility of future assignments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end production of a factual podcast, including both audio and video elements
- Develop episode concepts, storylines, and production schedules in collaboration with the Digital Lead
- Oversee recording sessions, manage technical setup, and ensure high production standards
- Coordinate with editors, sound engineers, and other creative professionals as needed
- Manage post-production processes, including editing, mixing, and quality control
- Ensure all content aligns with the vision and tone of the original television series
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular project updates
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience producing and developing factual podcasts or similar audio/visual content
- Strong background in both audio and video production, including technical setup and post-production
- Excellent storytelling, editorial, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with podcast production software and audio editing tools (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Must be based in or near Toronto; on-site work is required (hybrid possible)
- Availability to start promptly and commit to project timelines
