Associate Product Marketing Manager-Toronto, Ontario
About the role
The Associate Product Marketing Manager works collaboratively to develop and maintain marketing tools, sales training programs, marketing communication materials, and assigned Portfolios to promote the launch and ongoing sales efforts in Canada. This position is responsible for day-to-day working closely with assigned Managers, Product Marketing in the assigned portfolios and as required, will work with the global commercial team to monitor market trends, build collateral, messaging, branding, pricing strategies and recommend product improvements and roadmap enhancements that accelerate category growth and product adoption.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage assigned product portfolios within Canada
- Develop product knowledge and function as a resource for customers, sales, and Contracts personnel. Requires the ability to understand, collaborate with and influence key corporate stakeholders, including R&D and operations/production.
- Support marketing, sales and clinical support teams through the development and maintenance of various marketing collateral including field training presentations, online and printed marketing content and demos.
- Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses, features, underlying technology, etc. to establish technical differentiation and feature/benefit statements.
- Monitor competitor activity and current industry/clinical activity through published papers, studies and media.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing product offerings and communicate with the upstream product development team.
- Provide product knowledge and training to internal stakeholders
- Help establish trade show presence, messaging, and salesforce training Work on special assignments as they arise
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt and articulate the ICU Medical portfolio value proposition to a variety of decision makers
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook Background in medical device marketing and experience in marketing collateral design is highly desired
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum 2+ years of marketing experience required. Prior product management experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Typically requires travel 5-20% of the time
- Typically requires travel 20-50% of the time Typically requires travel more than 50% of the time
Additional Requirement
As part of the ongoing surveillance of product safety occurring throughout the product life cycle, I will ensure that, if I identify or am notified of any Product Complaints, Adverse Events, Adverse Drug Reactions and/or serious public health threats involving or related to an ICU Medical Product, that I will communicate this information to the appropriate ICU Medical safety or complaint handling group in a timely manner.
