About the role

You are a Director of Business Systems.

You bring the ability to operate at both altitude and depth. You see patterns across processes, platforms, and people, translating that insight into a clear, data-driven systems strategy. When needed, you dive into technical details to validate assumptions, resolve issues, and shape effective solutions. You challenge the status quo, push for automation, and build the operational backbone that supports our growth.

The purpose of this role is to lead the design and application of technology solutions that strengthen business processes, improve efficiency, and enable scalable growth. As our Director of Business Systems, you will guide the vision, strategy, and performance of the technologies that power our operations, architecting the next generation of our application ecosystem while ensuring day-to-day service delivery across core platforms runs smoothly.

This is a high-impact role with broad visibility, influencing how our systems evolve, how teams work, and how technology and data create leverage across the business.

What are your responsibilities?

Systems Strategy

You will serve as the architect and operator of the platforms, applications, and automations that power our business processes. You will partner with business leaders to translate workflows and priorities into a detailed roadmap and design solutions that integrate systems, organize data, automate processes, and leverage emerging tools like AI. You will help define the guardrails and governance that keep our environment secure and scalable.

  • Lead creation and management of the multi-year systems strategy and roadmap

  • Partner with business units to translate priorities into scalable technology solutions

  • Architect a connected ecosystem across ERP, HRIS, CRM, PM, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint

  • Identify opportunities for automation that improve efficiency and provide real-time visibility

  • Establish data, security, and governance standards that ensure integrity and compliance

  • Ensure systems and data design align tightly with business processes and outcomes

Solution Delivery

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of solutions that improve how teams work. This includes implementations, integrations, workflow automation, AI-driven enhancements, and the change management required for successful adoption. You’ll champion operational efficiency by eliminating manual effort and ensuring new solutions land effectively across the business.

  • Lead solution design, implementation, and rollout

  • Deliver integrations, automations, and cross-platform workflows

  • Scale the use of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform, empowering teams to build responsibly

  • Drive communication, training, and change management to ensure solutions are embraced and effective

  • Manage vendors, contracts, and licensing across enterprise and emerging tools

  • Measure impact and ensure solutions deliver meaningful business outcomes

Platform Operations

You will manage and oversee the day-to-day service delivery of our core platforms, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and continuously improving. You will oversee and, when necessary, personally handle everything from user provisioning and access control to issue resolution, troubleshooting, performance, SLAs, and system optimization. This includes ERP, HRIS, project management systems, Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, and the responsible use of automation and AI.

  • Own daily service delivery and operations across all core business platforms

  • Maintain system performance, uptime, SLAs, access controls, security, and overall compliance

  • Manage user provisioning, permissions, and lifecycle administration

  • Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis

  • Drive continuous improvement to elevate reliability, speed, and user experience

  • Support responsible adoption and oversight of automation and AI tools

What type of person should I be?

  • 5 to 10 years of experience leading enterprise applications, digital transformation, or systems architecture initiatives
  • Expertise configuring, integrating, and optimizing business systems across key functions
  • Strong fluency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform
  • Proven experience establishing governance frameworks, data standards, permission models, and scalable system architectures
  • Demonstrated success leading implementations and change management initiatives
  • Strategic mindset and vision that connects technology decisions to financial, operational, and user-experience outcomes
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and drive alignment across teams

Bonus Points For

  • Experience scaling systems in a high-growth or professional services environment

  • Hands-on knowledge of platforms like NetSuite, Kantata, UKG, SAP Concur, or HubSpot

  • Familiarity with iPaaS tools

  • Exposure to AI, advanced analytics, BI, or data warehouse initiatives
