Summary

Pleora is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Engineering organization to help lead the execution of our ongoing projects. The successful candidate will manage one or more technical projects at a time and provide project planning, execution, resource planning, scheduling, tracking, and risk and cost management services.

What you do

  • Own the planning and facilitate the execution of all project activities, including, but not limited to, design, implementation, verification, delivery, support and the transition of the product to production.

  • Own and provide
    the consolidated view of the project timelines, milestone dates and project risks.

  • Collaborate closely with functional managers and engineers.

  • Identify project risks and develop and implement risk management, adapting the overall project plan accordingly (risks may include technical and resourcing issues, e.g. external priorities impacting the project).

  • Prepare and refine project requirements, ensuring alignment across multiple project stakeholders.

  • Maintain awareness of goals of all project stakeholders and provide all stakeholders with timely and accurate project information and status.

  • Work with Sales to maintain project alignment with customer expectations and the overall business relationship.

  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to ensure project is delivered according to both customer and Pleora standards.

  • Coordinate allocation of sub-contract resources with appropriate levels of management; Monitor and report on day-to-day work of the project team.

What you need

  • PMP Certification in good standing.

  • Engineering degree; or a combination of education and working experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cross-functional engineering project leadership role; experience with defense programs an asset.

  • Experience working with customers, subcontractors and vendors in various levels, technical and business relationship engagements.

  • Excellent internal and external communications skills.

  • Knowledge and experience of electronic product design lifecycle including system design analysis, PCB schematic design and layout, FPGA and software design, manufacturing processes,
    and integration and test of mission critical systems and hardware.

  • Must have strong organization and documentation skills.

  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure to meet time critical deadlines.
