Reports - Sourcing Manager
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of category strategies by analyzing customer demand forecasts and aligning requirements with long‑term business objectives.
- Own and optimize the monthly demand database to support strategic decision‑making and long‑range sourcing plans.
- Coordinate with Ya YA’s planning team to manage inventory levels and order patterns based on Ya YA’s demand and our suppliers lead times.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for critical suppliers, leading performance reviews, KPI tracking, escalations, and corrective action initiatives.
- Lead supplier quality improvement programs by identifying inefficiencies, eliminating waste, and driving systemic improvements.
- Lead supplier contracts, perform contact balance checks, and identify required action when balances are drawn down or market opportunities exist for favourable bookings.
- Monitor market trends for key raw materials and deliver strategic insights, recommendations, and scenario analyses to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain advanced forecasting models, cost breakdowns, and tracking tools to support internal decision-making.
- Proactively manage supply risks including shortages, pricing volatility, and continuity while driving material substitution solutions for ingredients and packaging as needed for existing or new-to-launch products
- Lead negotiation and execution of supplier contracts, conduct contract balance reviews, and identify opportunities for favorable bookings.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with Planning, Operations, Quality, R&D, and Finance to optimize inventory levels, align purchasing strategies, and support new product introductions or spec changes.
- Manage complex sourcing projects to ensure synchronized execution of material price changes, production requirements, and customer pricing structures.
- Maintain and lead the annual sourcing calendar, ensuring timely execution of contracting cycles and budgeting activities
- Establish a record of all quality specifications and requirements for materials used by Ya YA Foods.
- Work with Accounts Payable to manage price and volume discrepancies in invoices and ensure Ya YA’s suppliers are paid on time and the correct amount.
- Manage projects to ensure alignment between price changes from suppliers to Ya YA with the pricing schedule with our customers.
- Work with Accounts Receivable to manage and lead the collection of all supplier volume rebates.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing processes, digital tools, analytics, and reporting frameworks.
- Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Management, Economics, Food Science or a related field
- Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service
- Great interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of management
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
- Encouraging team member, collaborative in approach, and able to lead
