#Postdoctoral Fellow, Jane and Ron Graham Centre for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
**Primary Purpose:**The Jane and Ron Graham Centre for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Postdoctoral Fellow to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Director of SoTL, Dr. Melanie Hamilton, to develop, implement, and study innovative SoTL programming and research initiatives. The Postdoctoral Fellow will also contribute to teaching within our graduate SoTL program and to the broader scholarly community focused on co-teaching and learning in higher education.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of SoTL to design, develop, implement, and evaluate SoTL initiatives and programs
- Co-teach graduate-level courses in the SoTL program, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Conduct and disseminate research in the field of SoTL, contributing to the advancement of teaching and learning practices in higher education
- Assist in the organization and facilitation of SoTL-related workshops, seminars, institutes, and conferences
- Mentor graduate students and support their academic, scholarly, and professional development
**Education:**The ideal candidate will have recently completed a doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in Education or a related discipline, with a demonstrated focus on higher education research and/or the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
To be eligible for appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Saskatchewan, candidates must be within five (5) years of the date of completion of their PhD or EdD.
Required Experience and skills:
- Demonstrated experience or emerging expertise in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)
- Teaching experience in higher education or graduate-level contexts
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively
- Strong academic writing skills, with experience preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to support and contribute to interdisciplinary research initiatives
Expectations:
-On-site Presence: The Postdoctoral Fellow is expected to be predominantly on-site at the SoTL Centre. In-person presence is essential for collaborative work, teaching responsibilities, mentoring activities, and participation in SoTL initiatives and events that are central to the Centre’s mission. -Remote Work: While the role is primarily on-site, there is flexibility for occasional remote work, as agreed upon with the Director of the SoTL Centre. This flexibility is intended to support work–life balance while maintaining the collaborative and relational nature of the position.
