Job Description Job Summary The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team helps to drive overall business performance by challenging and supporting critical decision making through the delivery of insightful analysis, action-oriented reporting and the design and management of planning and forecasting processes that meet the requirements of the Real Estate and Development team. We ensure maximum impact through clear messaging, presentation, effective business partnering with senior management stakeholders and focused communication of group strategic and financial goals. This will be an individual contributor role, capable of self-motivating their work; challenging and discerning how and what work gets done and is able to build relationships and hold accountabilities at senior levels within the organization and with themselves.

Salary Range - $80,000 - $90,000

Essential Duties And Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Partner with Senior Manager, FP&A and Real Estate and Development teams on all investment analysis (IRR, NPV, payback) related to core real estate projects (new stores and renovations).
  • Perform scenario, benchmarking and sensitivity analysis as required to ensure project returns presented are reasonable.
  • Assist in identifying sales performance / profitability trends and influencing factors within overall portfolio
  • Assist in performing post-audit analysis on new store and renovation performance
  • Provide recommendations to improve and strengthen assumptions and processes
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly Business Review materials, Budget and Forecast materials as well as Board Materials
  • Responsible for required Weekly/Monthly Reporting to the Real Estate and Development groups as well as various Store Operations Reporting
  • Recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
  • Support analysis on special projects (portfolio optimization, new store formats, cannibalization analysis) as needed.

Experience, Education, Certifications

  • The ideal candidate will be a self-driven and highly motivated individual. Someone who displays precision, attention to detail, and proficiency with systems and technology. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, performing multiple tasks / projects within defined deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics or Business
  • CPA or CFA Professional designation a plus
  • 4 to 5 years of financial planning and analysis experience in a retail, real estate or wholesale environment is a plus
  • Excellent working knowledge of tools such as Excel (Power suite) and data manipulation to efficiently conduct reporting requirements.
  • Work on period end processes, preparing various entries and reconciliations and supporting period end close review by developing and presenting variance analysis to senior management.
  • Analyze inventory on water and related foreign exchange adjustments, sales returns adjustments and other information as required.
  • Work with the external auditors on a quarterly and yearly basis.
