The Opportunity:
We’re looking to fill an opening for a Senior Learning & Development Manager to join our People & Culture team.
Reporting to the Director, Learning & Organizational Development, the Senior Learning & Development Manager is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with the HR leadership team, HR Business Partners, the Aviso Leadership group as well as other internal clients to provide advice, support and consultation on learning and development initiatives aimed at achieving business results through quality training. This role will focus on the employee development experience from onboarding throughout their career at Aviso.

What your day looks like:
- Acts as an in-house consultant to HRBPs and all levels of management in enterprise-wide employee Learning and development, department specific training needs, employee education assistance program, management of employee development requests
- Works closely with the HR business partners in identifying individual and group development opportunities by defining, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies and programs to improve business effectiveness.
- Responsible for identifying, researching, designing, managing, and delivering programs to meet the development needs of the business
- Develop a comprehensive enterprise-wide development programming to support all levels of the organization
- Works closely with the Senior Director, Learning & Development, Director, Talent Management, Director, Change Management, and VP, HR Centre of Excellence and Senior Director, People & Culture for competency development, and leadership development
- Supports the team with needs assessment and strategic planning to ensure development of human capital to meet outlined business objectives
- Gain cross-functional support for key objectives and priorities through collaborative relationships
- Design cross-functional experiences to accelerate development for targeted talent pools
- Maintenance of all internal Academy programs: employee curricula, inventory of resources and tools
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
Your experience and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in, Education, Human Resources Management and Certifications in training
-
Experience in front-end analysis, learning design methodologies including asynchronous online design and development, LMS management and content development, platform delivery and impact measurement and reporting.

Development of job specific, technical and leadership training development
-
Experience in vendor selection and management
-
Experience working in a financial services company an asset
-
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the area of learning and development
-
Strong initiative to take on projects and work through to successful completion
-
Proven ability to build strong relationships, including interfacing and communicating effectively with employees at all levels across the organization

Highly flexible, good tolerance for ambiguity and time-driven deadlines and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
-
Proven ability to analyze problems, identify key information and issues, interpret data and determine implications, provide recommendations and effectively resolve
-
Fluency (written and spoken) in English and French is required to effectively communicate with partners, clients, and colleagues across Canada

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $115,000 - $130,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
