Do you have a passion for creative storytelling, great graphics, and viral social content? Want to bridge the gap between farms and food lovers using everything from cutting-edge VR technology to high-energy social campaigns? We’re on the hunt for a tech-savvy, creative Digital Media & Communications Coordinator to join our team in Guelph. If you love diving into multiple projects, playing with digital media, and celebrating local food and farming, this role is made for you.
You’ll get to
Be the VR Specialist for FarmFood360: Step behind the scenes at photo/video shoots, program and gear up VR headsets, coordinate cool interactive kiosks, and manage translations to bring immersive farm tours to thousands! Run FarmPhotos.ca: Curate, update, and manage our photo library—bringing the visual beauty of agriculture to life. Drive Social Media Strategy: Create, schedule, analyze, and boost content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube. Be the Brand Champion: Keep our visual identity crisp, consistent, and recognizable across all channels and events. Event Support: Jump in on event coordination, creative brainstorms, and high-priority launches whenever the team needs a hand.
The successful candidate should have
A genuine curiosity and passion for agricultural outreach and local food. Proficiency with Canva or CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite software. Proficiency in video editing software and techniques. Experience with social media content creation, with the ability to create promotions across modern social platforms. Solid experience with Microsoft Office tools and ready to learn VR hardware/software management. Top-notch writing and verbal skills. Photography or videography skills are a major asset but not essential. Organizational skills, be self-motivated, and equally comfortable flying solo or collaborating with the crew.
Education
College or university degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field. At least one year of relevant full-time or part-time experience in an office, communications, event planning, or agricultural setting. Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle (for event travel and shoots).
This job is based out of the FFCO Guelph office. Some weekend and evening work will be required on a seasonal basis.
