Status: Full-Time - Temporary (6 Months)
Reporting To: Manager-Service Parts.
Department: Supply Chain/Logistics
Location: 30 High Meadow Place (Near HWY400 & Finch).
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.** Scope of Work: The primary responsibility of this position is to contribute and execute the seasonal inventory shift within the stipulated time frame. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process development and continuous improvement. Actively check and maintain adequate inventory inside the service trucks that leads resolution to customer need during the first-time visit.
Flexibility Clause: With a minimum of two weeks’ notice, the business may request a change to the employee’s shift if operational needs require it. Any such change will only occur within the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will not be permanent.
Main Responsibilities
- Asist on service parts usage analysis and the truck profile design, review, and revision process.
- Oversee service parts truck inventory and design the best method to change the same in short span of time.
- Lead Service parts profile switch and service profile implementation for service trucks based on the seasonal requirements.
- Set Process standards to effectively execute seasonal profile changes.
- Assist on service parts inventory optimization by identifying non-moving service parts, and implement plans to minimize them.
- Create a process to have more than 2 profiles per patch based on the needs to the area.
- Create a slotting tool for the group to enable proper slotting by part inside a truck.
- Carry out 5S process in Service trucks & create a parts catalogue for every truck profile which the tech can use.
- Support new replenishment process for reducing SRS-Code 19 orders.
- Weekly follow up for parts inside truck not used but code 19nd with every service manager.
- Travel to FSLs and assist on service parts inventory accuracy and process related audits (i.e. inspect the Service parts technician Bins to ensure the frequent Bin clearance).
- Assist on Service parts truck inventory audits on regular interval to ensure the profile accuracy.
- Helps to Identify improvement opportunities within the service parts fulfilment and inventory control processes and assist to implement them.
Requirements
- Supply Chain experience in a fast-paced, warehousing, logistics, transportations environment
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently and without supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Self-starter and independent performer
- Water Heater and/or HVAC service parts knowledge is an asset.
- High computer proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint) is a must.
- High degree of integrity, business ethics and accountability
- Need to travel and work in other offices on requirements.
