JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Foreman of Logistics the Class 1 Driver – Heavy Equipment Hauler is responsible for the loading and transportation of heavy equipment to various locations around Edmonton based on business needed. In addition, they will maintain trucks and equipment to ensure they are safe for daily operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Availability to work 5-6 days a week , 8-10 hour days.
-
Haul heavy equipment and materials to and from worksites using tractor trailers.
-
Transport equipment (excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers) up to 100,000 lbs.
-
Communicate with supervisors to confirm and deliver equipment and materials.
-
Comply with safety and transportation industry standards.
-
Help with other tasks as assigned and adapt to changing priorities.
-
Perform all work in accordance with applicable Task Hazard Assessments (THAs), safe work practices, and Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).
-
Identify hazards and participate in hazard assessments and control implementation.
-
Perform assigned tasks as identified in formal hazard assessments.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Valid Class 1 Driver’s License, and clean abstract.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the loading/unloading, securing and transporting a variety of heavy mobile equipment and materials.
-
Comfortable hauling equipment within the city.
-
Load securement and hours of service training certifications are preferred.
-
Experience running Excavators, Backhoes, Loaders & Skid Steer is considered an asset.
