APPOINTMENT: 0.121 FTE Temporary

Qualifications Required:

1. degree in elementary education plus a post-graduate diploma or certificate in teacher librarian (minimum 5 courses) or commencement with a completion plan;

2. recent successful experience as a teacher-librarian at the elementary level;

3. skills, knowledge, and ability to support the school literacy and library programs, to foster the development of life-long learners and enhance student learning;

4. ability to:

• promote the library as the literacy hub of the school;
• develop and monitor the library collection by setting priorities and establishing procedures for the evaluation and selection of library resources

1. demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff to design and co-teach units of instruction that focus on project-based and experiential learning:

2. effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;

3. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and

4. BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
