What you’ll do
This important Manager role is responsible for leading our Donor Services team – the mighty team that ensures every donation to our Foundation is processed accurately, tax receipted in a timely manager, and donation revenue is recognized in our financial systems appropriately. This role offers a unique opportunity for an accounting professional to utilize their technical expertise to drive operational excellence, provide leadership to a high performing team and contribute to a meaningful cause.
More specifically, in this Manager, Donor Services role you will:

Lead and support the Donor Services team through the full employee lifecycle, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment

Oversee the revenue recognition processes, including oversight of the period end reconciliation processes to ensure accurate reporting of revenue in financial statements.

Ensure accurate and compliant tax receipting processes in alignment with CRA regulations and organizational standards.

In partnership with the Assistant Manager, oversee all donation processing and ensure all donor details, gift and financial information are processing in an accurate, secure and timely manner, in compliance with current regulations.

Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve systems, processes, and the overall donor experience.
What you’ll bring
We understand that no single candidate will perfectly meet all the qualifications outlined for this job posting. The following highlights the qualifications we consider important:
- CPA designation with a degree or diploma in business administration, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial operations or accounting
- Experience leading a team, with ability to coach, develop and motivate team members effectively
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and reconciliation processes
- Experience managing and maintaining databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility
- In-depth understanding of CRA tax receipting requirements and data privacy standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours on occasion, as needed.

The hiring range for this position is between $91,100 and $101,800. At BCCHF, we are committed to ensuring that compensation is fair and equitable. Your placement in the salary range will be determined by your experience, relevant skills, and qualifications as they relate to this role.
