Senior Agile Coach Location: Remote within Canada

Type: Contract (Full-Time)

Term: 1 year, with possibility of extension

Overview We are seeking two Senior Agile Coaches with strong hands-on Scrum Master experience to work with mature Agile delivery teams (some with 10+ years of Agile practice).

This is not a Project Manager role . The focus is on elevating established Agile teams —refining practices, deepening Agile principles, and improving value delivery, not implementing Agile from scratch or managing roadmaps/budgets.

Responsibilities

• Coach Scrum, Kanban, and product teams to deepen Agile mindset, collaboration, and self-organization.
• Mentor Scrum Masters and Product Owners to strengthen facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and product-centric delivery.
• Facilitate Scrum events, Kanban cadences, and workshops (design-thinking, problem-solving) for experienced teams.
• Use Agile metrics and maturity indicators to assess teams and focus coaching efforts.
• Identify and help remove systemic impediments, influencing leaders to support meaningful change.
• Develop and manage Agile maturity/growth backlogs, coaching plans, and success measures.
• Deliver targeted training and coaching on Agile principles and practices suited to seasoned practitioners.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and experimentation across teams and leadership.

Required Experience

• 8-10+ years in Agile environments, including enterprise-level Agile coaching and hands-on Scrum Master work.

• Proven experience with Scrum and Kanban in real delivery settings (not just theory or tooling).

• Direct experience coaching long-established Agile teams, helping them:

• Refine and evolve practices beyond basic framework use

• Apply Agile principles in day-to-day delivery

• Advance maturity, flow, and collaboration

• Strong servant leadership profile and a track record of guiding mature teams through continuous improvement cycles.

• Advanced facilitation skills for ceremonies and workshops with experienced Agile practitioners and leaders.

• Demonstrated ability to influence change, work across functions, and resolve complex impediments.

• Experience using Agile metrics (flow, predictability, quality, value) to guide coaching and show measurable improvement.

• Experience that goes beyond tooling and basic training (e.g., Jira setup, PI planning mechanics, framework 101).

Ideal candidates can clearly show how their coaching has elevated already-Agile teams —not just introduced Agile to new teams or managed projects using Agile terminology.
