About the role

IT Operations Analyst

**Reports To:**Head of Compliance and Enterprise Risk

**Location:**This will be a hybrid role based in Calgary

About the job: We’re hiring our first dedicated IT Operations Analyst which means this role will be a little bit of everything and will provide a big opportunity to make your mark. Right now, IT support is shared across the team. It works… mostly. But with our growth plans, we need someone who can take ownership, continue to improve structure, and make things just work better.

This is a hands-on role in a busy environment. You might be setting up a new hire on their first day, tracking down a stubborn login issue, rolling out a new SaaS tool, or figuring out how to make onboarding faster and less painful. If something is broken, unclear, or inefficient, you’ll have the freedom to improve it. We’re looking for someone who’s practical, curious, and perhaps most importantly, comfortable figuring things out as they go.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help define and build our IT support function as the company grows.

  • Meeting with new employees to handle their onboarding in-person and remotely.

  • Improvement and administration of the onboarding, offboarding and access management processes.

  • Ordering and provisioning laptops, equipment, and software licenses.

  • Monitoring the company’s IT Support channels via Slack and email.

  • Documenting common user issues, fixes, and processes in a knowledge base.

  • Working with external vendors to troubleshoot systems as needed.

  • Supporting Compliance initiatives and audits.

  • Supporting our Technical Operations Specialist with the shipping, receiving, and updating of device packages rented to atVenu’s customers.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • 4+ years of hands-on IT support experience.

  • Experience supporting Apple workstations in a corporate context.

  • Experience as a Google Workspace administrator.

  • Experience with implementing new SaaS solutions and workflows.

  • Experience managing a mobile device management solution (ideally Jamf).

Nice to Have:

  • Office WIFI troubleshooting wizardry.
  • Experience implementing automated processes through scripts and workflow tools.
  • Familiarity with common information security principles.
