What is the opportunity?
RBC Dominion Securities is currently seeking an Investment Associate to join a large portfolio management team specialized in providing wealth management services to a sophisticated clientele. You will provide dedicated support to the portfolio management team on investment and money management activities.
What will you do?
- Support the portfolio management team in general administrative duties in the management of client accounts
- Execute on trades as directed by the portfolio management team
- Follow up on orders to ensure proper settlement and delivery
- Review portfolios regularly
- Rebalance portfolios with guidance from the portfolio management team
- Manage risk dashboard, bulk trading, Investment Policy Statements (IPS), etc.
- Review reports daily and process any necessary corrections and actions
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Post-secondary degree in finance or a related area of study
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Level I (or any higher level) of the CFA Program administered by the CFA Institute
- Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience within the investment industry
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Nice-to-have
- Passion for investments, analysis, and portfolio management
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Enthusiastic, committed, and entrepreneurial spirit
