Job Description Fortinet is seeking a Staff QA to join our FortiData team. As part of the Data Security QA group, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of FortiData, Fortinet’s enterprise data protection and compliance product. You will work closely with developers, product managers to design comprehensive test case, automate functional, and integration testing, and validate data loss prevention, data classification, and compliance detection capabilities across various file systems and SaaS application.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure product quality
- Design and implement automated test scripts using Python
- Test cloud security features, including SaaS applications data protection, compliance enforcement, and threat detection
- Validate API functionalities and cloud-based system integrations
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams for resolution
- Conduct scalability, reliability, and security testing
- Participate in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) testing
- Collaborate across development, and product teams to align testing efforts with business priorities
- Drive initiatives for test coverage improvement and automation efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Eight or more years of experience in QA engineering, software testing, or test automation
- Strong experience in test automation frameworks (Selenium, PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, or similar)
- Proficiency in Python for test automation development
- Familiarity with data security solutions, preferably CASB, DLP, or SOAR products
- Experience testing SaaS platforms and cloud-native applications
- Understanding of REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to software quality
- Experience coordinating deliverables across multiple teams or projects
- Strong communication skills
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $140,000 - $160,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
