Job Title: IT Helpdesk Specialist
Location: Toronto (Yonge/ Bloor) 5 days per week in the office Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 plus annual bonus

As an IT Helpdesk Specialist, you will be the backbone of the daily technical operations, managing everything from frontline user support to essential network administration and media setups. Our client is seeking a proactive professional dedicated to maximizing system uptime, protecting their data and enforcing top-tier security standards.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for technical support by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems. Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops and printers. Manage software installation (Windows, Microsoft 365, Adobe). Support Audio/Video conferencing systems (Crestron, MS Teams Rooms, Zoom). Coordinate technical onboarding by provisioning devices and software, while delivering essential IT training to welcome new employees. Maintain knowledge base resources while providing essential technical guidance and instruction to end-users. Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Handle server deployment and resource allocation while continuously auditing storage infrastructure (SAN) and server vitals to maximize uptime. Assist with phone system administration (Avaya Cloud/VoIP) Manage the helpdesk ticketing system Provide hands-on technical execution for IT rollouts, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience working in a similar role. College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, and SharePoint Online. Working knowledge of Hyper-V, network systems (TCP/IP), SANs, and backup tools (e.g., Datto). Hands-on experience with end-user devices, printers, VoIP (e.g., Avaya Cloud), and A/V systems.
