We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Business Data Analyst at our Kingsville Corporate Office .
The Business Data Analyst, under the direction of the Corporate Controller, will be responsible for performing strategic data analysis across various departments in support of corporate goals and objectives. This role will lead the development of a master data system to reconcile operational, pricing, and cost data across all company locations in Canada, U.S., and Mexico. The Business Data Analyst will ensure the organization is prepared for future audits by implementing robust data controls, performing compliance analysis, and advising on pricing strategies that align with trade regulations. The successful candidate will combine strong attention to detail with a deep understanding of business processes and regulatory compliance to support informed, data-driven strategies across the organization.

Main Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a database to consolidate and reconcile sales and cost data across the Canadian and U.S. distribution business, in collaboration with Mexican operations and related cost of production data
- Conduct regular pricing analysis to ensure the organization is optimizing profitability while remaining compliant with applicable regulations
- Collaborate with Sales to recommend compliant, data-driven pricing strategies
- Optimize and maintain declared values database and supporting calculations to support pro-forma crossing documents for compliance with CBP and CBSA regulations
- Analyze financial, operational, and transactional data to identify trends and insights and resolve discrepancies
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity, implementing appropriate checks and balances to continually validate outputs
- Collaborate with teams across all company locations in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico to collect, analyze, and reconcile data, ensuring alignment across regions
- Develop and implement audit-ready controls and documentation to ensure compliance with potential trade audits
- Serve as the primary point of contact for trade compliance data across internal teams
- Provide audit support and prepare required reports for applicable authorities
- Translate complex data sets into clear reports, dashboards, and insights
- Provide ad hoc analytical support for special projects, audits, and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, finance, mathematics, or a related field required
- 3-5+ years experience in a Business Analyst, Trade Compliance, or a similar analytical role
- Previous experience with regulatory compliance considered an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Previous experience with FAMOUS software considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively, managing priorities and projects with minimal direction while consistently delivering high-quality results
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Direct knowledge of database management and various data retrieval methodologies, including data importing to spreadsheets, graphs, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office setting
- Sitting or standing for an extended amount of time
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
- Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required
- Fast-paced environment
- Overtime as required
- Travel may be required
