🧭 What You’ll Do
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our strategic growth efforts. You’ll lead cross-functional capture teams, build lasting relationships, and position QinetiQ as a trusted defence partner.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities in target regions
- Leading strategic captures and bid teams for major contracts
- Developing 3–5-year order intake strategies aligned with company goals
- Collaborating with R&D and technology leads on capability development
- Delivering accurate sales forecasts and contributing to regional planning
- Supporting compliance with ISO standards, safety policies, and ethical practices
🎓 What You Bring
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- 5+ years of international defence business development experience
- Proven success in leading large-scale captures and managing bid teams
- Strong sales pipeline and strategic account management background
- Training in proposition negotiation and selling for growth (or equivalent)
- Eligible for Canadian Class 2 Security Clearance (Canadian citizen or PR)
💡 Skills That Set You Apart
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Deep understanding of sales principles and customer engagement strategies
- Familiarity with test and evaluation solutions (aerial/surface targets)
- Politically and culturally aware with strong negotiation abilities
- Fluent in English; French or other languages are a plus
🔐 Security & Safety Requirements
- Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
- Eligible for Canadian Class 2 Security Clearance
- Comfortable with occasional travel and working in safety-sensitive environments
