Parking Attendant (Full-time 4-Month Contract Until February 28, 2026)

We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team players to join our Atlantic Canada team as a Valet/Parking Attendant on a 4-month contract until February 28, 2026, based at one of our hospital locations in downtown Halifax.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Shift hours will vary depending on operational needs. Shifts may include early mornings, daytime, evenings, and overnight coverage, and can range from 6 to 12 hours in length. Weekend and holiday availability will be required.
Access to reliable transportation is required. A valid Canadian driver’s license (Class 5) and clean driving abstract is required with a minimum of three years driving experience.
The ideal candidate has the ability to solve problems, the ability to interact with the public and clients in a professional, empathetic and courteous manner, and is a great communicator.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
OPERATIONS:

Greeting and welcoming guests to the property
-
Actively direct traffic at the busiest entrances and exits
-
Issue warnings and/or parking tickets to repeat offenders
-
Answering help calls to assist customers remotely
-
Making and issuing appropriate parking rebate tickets
-
Parking and retrieving vehicles in a timely fashion
-
Operating vehicles safely in confined areas and narrow spaces
-
Performing accurate inspections of vehicles for damage prior to taking into custody
-
Issue and collect valet tickets as required
-
Ensuring safe custody of keys in locked key box
-
Ensuring vehicles are locked after parking
-
Cleaning the work area, and parking area as needed, including key sanitization and litter pick up
-
Answering any questions that guests may have (providing directions, etc.)
-
Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP:
-
Build positive relationships with customers
-
Note the nature of complaints received by customers, and actively help develop and suggest solutions
-
Communicate verbally with customers and clients in English
REQUIREMENTS:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy
-
Previous customer service experience
-
Previous valet experience considered an asset
-
Good communication skills, both verbally and written
-
Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
-
Ability to work with a team
-
Able to work outside in all weather (free uniform provided)
-
A valid Canadian driver’s license (Class 5) and clean driving abstract
-
A minimum of three years driving experience
-
Able to operate a vehicle in confined spaces without damage
-
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is an asset
