Driving Personalized Ecommerce Experiences

As the eCommerce Consumer Engagement Specialist, you will develop and execute homepage merchandising, digital personalization, and site promotional activities that offers our customers a best-in-class, highly personalized, and seamless online shopping experience. Led by the eCommerce Manager, this position suits someone who has a strong understanding of customer behaviour and journey mapping across in-store and digital touchpoints, with proven ability to create seamless omni-channel retail experiences that prioritize customer needs and preferences.

  • Please note this is a 14-month term.

  • Optimize homepage merchandising strategies based on historical performance, competitive research and emerging online trends to maximize conversion.
  • Utilize site heatmapping and consumer analytics to define performance and adjust appropriately for optimal results.
  • Create personalized, data-driven website experiences based on customer behaviour, preferences, and lifecycle stage.
  • Leverage customer segments from the Customer Data Platform to tailor content and product recommendations, delivering a 1:1 personalized experience for online customers.
  • Work closely with the CRM team to align consumer engagement strategies across channels.
  • Develop unique online offers tailored to customer segments and lifecycle stages.
  • Develop unique, store-based experiences by customizing content, promotions, and product offerings based on store location, banners and services available at each location.
  • Work closely with IT & merchandise data teams to ensure accurate representation of in-store offerings on the website, aligning online and offline retail experiences.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content personalization initiatives.
  • Lead online promotional initiatives to streamline internal processes and workflows.
  • Build a promotional calendar and manage both site-wide and targeted events utilizing promo codes to drive traffic and increase conversion.
  • Maintain and prepare the budget and forecast for all promo code events, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Work in coordination with marketing channel owners to optimize consumer engagement and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandise, Promotions and cross-functional Marketing teams to facilitate site-wide promotional events and build brand assets. Analyze online event performance and provide stakeholders with comprehensive insights.

We’re looking for:

  • Diploma in Business, Digital Marketing, eCommerce with 3-5 years of demonstrated expertise in digital commerce marketing and advanced personalization strategies.
  • Strong understanding of customer behaviour and journey mapping across in-store and digital touchpoints.
  • Knowledge of CRM and customer segmentation strategies, specifically in retail.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML or CMS platforms, Google Analytics or other related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with heatmapping a definite asset.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and react to changing situations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $57,600- $75,600; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
