The Role In a Nutshell

  • Project Scheduling & Coordination: Oversee creation, maintenance, and execution of detailed project schedules, ensuring critical paths are identified, dependencies are linked, and timelines are met using company CRM.
  • Cost & Budget Management: Track project costs against budgets, manage change orders, analyze financial trends, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Subcontractor & Supplier Oversight: Communicate project requirements, manage bookings and POs, and critically evaluate subcontractor performance, quotes, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Relations & Communication: Act as primary client contact, delivering weekly updates, coordinating walkthroughs, and ensuring CRM interactions and progress documentation foster an exceptional client experience.
  • Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high customer satisfaction scores, uphold quality control procedures, address issues proactively, and manage warranty processes with accurate documentation.
  • Administrative & System Integrity: Ensure CRM and project documentation is consistently updated and accurate, manage digital file organization, and support internal teams in aligning on project goals.
  • Operational Support & Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in weekly scheduling meetings, identify schedule and resource risks, and contribute to refining standard operating procedures.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with design, estimating, site staff, and leadership to drive efficient, transparent project execution and facilitate strong internal communication.

Experience Required:

  • Experience: 2–5 years of Project Management experience in residential construction or design-build environments
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Construction Management or a related field as asset. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience in construction project coordination will also be considered
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on excel); Experience with construction scheduling tools and CRMs (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar). Strong financial acumen a requirement.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building relationships.
  • Growth-Oriented: Eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to achieving ambitious company goals. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, willing to think outside the box and understands that they are the builder of their career.
