About the role

Your future. Our Environment. One shared purpose.

Our Company

With over three decades of experience, Triton delivers clear, practical environmental solutions that help projects move forward responsibly. Our people-first, safety-driven approach shapes everything we do and strengthens the partnerships we build with clients, communities, and industry.

Environmental science is at the heart of our work, and our multidisciplinary team includes experts in aquatic and wildlife biology, soil science, vegetation ecology, environmental assessment, auditing, monitoring, inspection, and resource management. Supporting our work is a dedicated group of corporate and administrative professionals who help ensure our teams have what they need to excel. Together, we bring the technical expertise and organizational support required to develop smart, effective environmental strategies tailored to every project.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to join our growing team in British Columbia. If you thrive in the fast-paced world of professional consulting and have a proven track record of driving growth, building relationships, and delivering results, this is the role for you!

Your Impact

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues and key external stakeholders, including C-suite executives, industry leaders, and consultants.

  • Lead opportunity pre-positioning efforts, support proposal development, and collaborate across teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client and Indigenous Partnership needs while advancing long-term objectives.

  • Represent Triton at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and strengthen market presence.

  • Analyze regional and sector-specific market trends, as well as competitor activities, to support informed strategic planning and decision-making.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the professional consulting industry.

  • Strong understanding of Canada’s business landscape and the broader consulting market.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Self-motivated and relationship-driven, with a demonstrated ability to create opportunities and support the successful closing of deals.

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills, capable of translating high-level objectives into actionable plans.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to learning new systems (experience with NetSuite is an asset).

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and with clients.

  • Effective time management, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

  • Analytical and solutions-focused, capable of evaluating complex situations and developing practical recommendations.

Your Future at Triton

For over 30 years, Triton has helped clients balance development with environmental responsibility through practical, science-based solutions. At Triton, people come first. We’ve built a collaborative, safety-conscious culture where you can grow your career, make an impact, and create lasting connections.

You’ll Enjoy

  • Exciting, meaningful projects across Western Canada

  • A collaborative and inclusive team culture

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including a Health Spending Account and pension matching

  • Paid professional membership fees (including in-training designations)

  • Professional development opportunities

  • Flexible scheduling and hybrid work options

Your Compensation

Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a potential performance-based annual bonus, that is contingent upon meeting sales targets and relationship-building objectives.

Location, Work Schedule & Flexibility

This position may report to any Triton BC office location, including Vancouver, Prince George, Terrace and Kamloops. Given the collaborative nature of this position, a hybrid work schedule is preferred, working on-site a few days per week.

If you live in any of these office locations, you may be given hiring preference. However, if you live elsewhere in BC, you are still encouraged to apply, as a potential remote working schedule with periodic office travel could be considered. You will also need to be flexible to meet general travel requirements, which may constitute approximately 20% travel time.

Your Next Step

Ready to bring your skills to a collaborative and respected team? We invite you to apply by submitting your resume and an optional cover letter. This posting will remain open until filled.

Your Inclusive Workplace

At Triton, we are committed to a respectful, equitable, and inclusive workplace. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities. Accommodations during the recruitment process are available upon request; please contact hr@triton-env.com to make arrangements. Thank you for considering Triton Environmental Consultants. While we appreciate all applications, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
