Position Summary

As the Registered Dietitian, you will support resident nutritional health and individualized dietary care within our Community. Reporting to the General Manager, you will complete assessments, develop personalized nutrition plans, and collaborate with nursing and care teams to ensure best practices are followed. This role provides clinical recommendations, education, and guidance to support resident well-being in alignment with regulatory standards and Optima Living policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dietary services in accordance with company guidelines and federal and provincial laws and regulations.
  • Complete assessments of our Residents and adapt nutritional plans as needed.
  • Implement personalized nutrition strategies.
  • Deliver client nutrition recommendations to nurses and aides.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling for patients.
  • Attend Care Conferences of residents and participate in site-specific clinical meetings as required

What you need to succeed:

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Dieticians of BC.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners to uphold our Optima Living values.
  • Experience as a consultant dietician is considered an asset
  • CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management) would be an asset
