Location: Innisfail, Alberta
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You’ll be part of a collaborative shop environment where your expertise directly contributes to Bilton’s reputation for precision and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Approve in-process and finished products by confirming specifications through visual and measurement tests.
- Document inspection results, summarize rework, and maintain the quality database.
- Organize and coordinate Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) requirements with contractors.
- Review and interpret X-Ray films, NDE reports, and welding test results.
- Witness and document hydro tests, Post Weld Heat Treat (PWHT) , and weld testing.
- Maintain and verify Mill Test Reports (MTRs) and compile project turnover packages.
- Track and approve NDE costs, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) compliance.
- Support internal/external audits and manage QA/QC documentation including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) .
- Liaise with third-party inspectors and uphold Bilton’s quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- CWB Level 2 (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ASME Code (asset).
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance , or a related field.
- Experience in shop fabrication/welding or as a Journeyman Welder (asset).
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook .
- Skilled in reading and interpreting drawings and weld symbols .
- Strong understanding of welding processes and inspection techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
