Reports to: Senior Director, Warehousing & Logistics Location: Arc’One Distribution Centre Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX: As the Manager, Delivery and Transportation, you will play a key role in liaising between Arc’teryx and Amer Sports Delivery & Transportation (D&T) functions to drive alignment and ensure we achieve our sales and service goals. You will lead a high performing team that owns the transportation forecasting and review process between Arc’teryx and our D&T centres globally to enable short and long-term capacity, cost, and service planning as well seasonal execution. You will work with our Global Planning and Regional Merchandise Planning & Allocations teams in leading and managing our global transportation networks. Your deep analytical skills will enable our business to identify risks and opportunities in our D&T planning, and will help us to optimize our service levels, sustainability, and costs across diverse regions, channels, and markets. This is a temporary fixed-term role with a one-year contract term. This role is based out of our Arc’One Distribution Centre office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

You will lead a team of logistics professionals that is situated in the broader Supply Chain function. The Supply Chain team is a cross-functional group whose focus is on optimizing responsiveness to market with quality product, while driving towards cash flow and inventory targets. If you were the Manager, Delivery and Transportation - Temporary, here are some of the core activities you would be doing: Leading, mentoring, and driving engagement within a team of logistics specialists, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and continuous improvement. Developing strong operating knowledge of upstream and downstream business partner ways of working. Developing and maintaining a transportation roadmap that supports our growth and service needs across NAM, EMEA, and APAC. Leading and reviewing the regional and channel-level quarterly business forecasts at a granular level sufficient for distribution centers and carriers to plan resources and capacity. Identifying risks and opportunities and leading action in D&T’s ability to deliver to plan and the business’ ability to provide appropriate forecasts to deliver to target. Supporting regional teams in the development and execution of transportation programs to achieve regional objectives. Leading the prioritization of inbound and outbound volumes with all distribution centers to support customer requirements by channel, especially during peak periods, pull-forward activities, and other seasonal volume variations. Partnering with Allocations, Ecommerce, Retail Operations, and Global Transportation teams on seasonal peak period execution. Collaborating across Supply Chain and Commercial teams to optimize shipping methods to maintain service levels while minimizing cost. Developing and tracking KPIs and metrics to understand and share performance and enable your team and partners to optimize delivery, service levels, and cost across diverse regions, channels, and markets. Leading regular operational reviews with transportation partners and ensuring all SLAs are being met. Working with Financial Planning & Analysis on the impacts of various service-level scenarios to financial results and providing recommendations for adoption. Ensuring up-to-date costs and cost forecasts for inbound and outbound freight are visible for financial planning and costing purposes. Influencing process improvement and training activities at distribution centers to ensure all internal and external customer requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner, while engaging upstream and downstream partners on process-level improvements. Supporting the identification, prioritization, and implementation of initiatives to advance emissions reduction efforts.

Influencing our Regional TL, LTL and Courier provider mix Supporting the evolution of our Distribution Center and Cross Dock network to drive service and cost improvements and emissions reduction.
Are you our next Manager, Delivery and Transportation - Temporary? You have 8+ years' experience in supply chain, distribution centre management or logistics, including inventory management, order fulfilment, process innovation and SOP creation with at least 3+ years in a leadership role You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Math, Statistics, Business, Engineering or Computer Science You have advanced analytical skills with superior aptitude for data manipulation (designing, building and maintaining files in Microsoft Excel/Access and SQL) You have excellent interpersonal skills You have strong organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and manage projects to a timely conclusion You have excellent communication and business presentation skills, both verbally and written You have strong financial acumen, including understanding of profit & loss with ability to interpret data and understand the financial impact You have experience with SAP You have advanced Excel skills You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity You balance autonomy and collaboration with your teammates You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
Compensation
The salary range for this role is CAD$108,000 - CAD$135,000
