Job Summary
As the Social Media & Content Strategy Coordinator, you will play a key role in executing and managing marketing initiatives and digital outreach efforts. You will be responsible for overseeing multi-channel marketing activities, managing incoming requests through the ticketing system, and developing localized marketing strategies that align with brand objectives. Additionally, you will create and execute a social media strategy, maintain a dynamic content calendar for various social media platforms, and craft engaging content to enhance audience interaction. You will track performance metrics, report on campaign effectiveness, and proactively optimize strategies to ensure continued growth and engagement.
Reporting Responsibilities
The Social Media and Content Strategy Coordinator reports to the Marketing Manager
Capabilities & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in social media, marketing coordination, or content production.
- Ability to create simple, polished, social first video content using tools such as Canva.
- Experience coordinating or supporting photo and video shoots, including working with external vendors.
- Strong writing skills for captions, scripts, briefs, and internal communications.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting to evaluate performance and inform improvements.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Valid Driver's License required.

Education
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field; or
- Certification in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
Responsibilities & Authorities
Social Media Strategy, Planning & Content Execution
- Own social media planning across platforms, from strategy through execution, ensuring content supports brand storytelling, broader digital campaigns, events, and seasonal priorities.
- Develop and maintain platform specific content strategies and social calendars informed by audience behaviour, channel best practices, campaign goals, and onsite activities.
- Plan, create, and publish social content — including simple, social first video — using tools such as Canva, while proactively proposing new formats, initiatives, and ideas that remain on brand.
- Visit GTA campuses to capture real time content, special activities, and events, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Conduct social, competitive, and industry research; translate insights and performance data into clear recommendations and ongoing content optimization.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, sharing monthly findings and implementing improvements based on results.
- Partner closely with the marketing team and cross functional departments to understand their objectives, advise on social media opportunities, and ensure social storytelling aligns with paid media, email, web, and integrated campaign efforts.
Photo & Video Production
- Plan and manage photo and video shoots from pre production to delivery.
- Coordinate shoot logistics with campus leaders, coaches, and external vendors.
- Prepare shot lists, testimonial prompts, and other pre production materials.
- Attend shoots to guide photographers/videographers and ensure alignment with brand expectations.
- Organize, tag, and archive content post shoot; identify and share key assets for marketing use.
Coordination & Communication
- Maintain the Graphics Planner and collaborate with the graphic designer to support prioritization of design work.
- Manage the marketing ticketing/intake system to triage and track requests from campuses.
- Coordinate communication between HQ and campuses to collect materials, answer questions, and support campaign execution.
- Facilitate layout and content approval cycles, ensuring smooth communication with the designer and internal teams.
- Prepare and share regular performance reports, updates, and content highlights with the marketing team and stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required to support marketing events, or urgent Marketing matters.
- The role is based in a fast-paced, high-demand environment where priorities can shift quickly, and multiple tasks must be managed simultaneously.
- Regular travel between campus locations will be required.
- Occasional travel to attend external events such as conferences, content shoots, and other relevant engagements is part of the role.
