Finance Manager (13 Month Contract)
About the role
The Finance Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Company's accounting operations, financial reporting processes and finance transformation initiatives. Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager leads a team of 2 accounting professionals, and oversees the day-to-day accounting function. The Finance Manager will support post-merger integration efforts, process automation and AI initiatives, tax and transfer pricing compliance, and other strategic projects designed to strengthen the Company's financial infrastructure and support its continued growth. Core Responsibilities Accounting and Financial Reporting Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Manage day-to-day accounting operations through a team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general accounting activities Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules Ensure financial information is complete, accurate and compliant with applicable accounting standards Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors Support lender, investor and Board reporting requirements Finance Operations and Process Improvement Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability and control across finance operations Lead finance system enhancements and automation initiatives Evaluate and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve accounting workflows, reporting and operational efficiency Develop and maintain finance policies, procedures and documentation Tax and Regulatory Compliance Support sales and use tax (SALT) compliance initiatives, including nexus assessments and ongoing compliance requirements Coordinate with external tax advisors on indirect tax matters Operationalize and maintain transfer pricing processes in accordance with established transfer pricing policies Maintain supporting documentation and processes for intercompany transactions and transfer pricing compliance Required CPA designation 5-8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close and accounting operations Experience managing audits and working with external advisors Experience improving processes and implementing finance systems Advanced Excel skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Highly Preferred SaaS industry experience Experience with indirect tax/SALT compliance Experience with transfer pricing and intercompany accounting Experience implementing automation and AI-enabled finance
