Join our dynamic team as a Regional Account Manager, where you’ll oversee and coordinate customer strategies for key clients in the mining industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to bothmanage key mining accountsacrossCanadaandlead strategic initiativesthat elevate commercial performance and team effectiveness.
What you will do:
Account Management & Customer Engagement
- Lead and participate in key account deals, collaborating with dealers, the local Caterpillar team, and the Commercial Manager to deliver insights, creative solutions, and strategic alignment.
- Define long-term priorities with customers, aligning their goals with Caterpillar’s vision to strengthen partnerships and drive sustainable growth.
- Leverage Caterpillar solutions to demonstrate how strategic collaboration increases market share and profitability.
Strategic Initiatives & Commercial Improvements
- Lead Regional execution of RISST (Resource Industries Sales, Services & Technology) and CAT corporate initiatives.
- Drive process improvements that simplify work and improve efficiency across the Canada Mining Go-to-Market team, internal partners, and dealers.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across Strategic Accounts, Aftermarket, Technology, CAT Financial, and other key areas.
What skills you will have:
Industry Knowledge:Extensive experience in themining industry, with a strongcommercial backgroundand deep understanding of machine applications. Proven track record across operations, maintenance, procurement, and corporate-level functions.Skilled in both mine site management and navigating complex corporate environments.
**Customer Focus:**Market-oriented, customer-centric and strong strategic planning skills.Experience working with Dealers and customers.
**Effective Communications:**Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with complex issues and persuade others inside and outside the company, dealers, and customers to take specific actions.
Account Management:Knowledge ofaccount management; ability to manage day-to-day activities, providing services and support to existing clients. Proven leader and decision-maker with a proactive approach, and ability to work with urgency and drive continuous improvement.
Negotiating:****Proficient in negotiationand consultative selling, driven by a strong motivation for sales success. Demonstrates exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
**Value Selling:**Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Additional Information:
This role is based in Edmonton, Alberta, or Toronto, ON.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position requires 25-50 % travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$138,750 - $173,440
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
