About the role
The opportunity
As the Senior Software Developer, you will analyze, design, develop, and support software solutions to help Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan meet its business objectives. You will contribute your technical knowledge to complex and interesting IT projects for our Investments division. You’ll have the opportunity to work remotely and come into the office on occasion for team collaboration moments. Our Flexible Travel Program gives you the option to work abroad for a month in another region/country. The choice is yours!
Who you'll work with
As part of the Platform Engineering team within Technology Services, you'll have the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders across the organization, from architects, developers, infrastructure and platform engineers, vendors and product owners, amongst other stakeholders, to ensure deliverables and outcomes are effectively managed.
What you'll do
- Work with product teams to identify requirements, acceptance criteria and delivery dates
- Provide input into design of solutions and pipelines to ensure it runs efficiently, is secure, scalable, maintainable, and follows enterprise standards
- Implement the build as designed, via code or automation
- Build out automation to minimize manual repetitive tasks and reduce lead times
- Ensure operational readiness and currency of applications and platforms we support
- Perform analysis for incident response, doing root‑cause analysis and making recommendations for fixes
- Plan and transition existing solution designs to target state
What you'll need
- Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent education
- Minimum 5 years of experience using current software development techniques
- Proficient experience leveraging devsecops best practices and CI/CD tooling (github actions, jenkins, git)
- Hands on experience creating infrastructure via code (iac) leveraging Terraform, Ansible and Spacelift.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (python,C#, java, powershell)
- Experience working with Azure including Entra ID, Kubernetes, Resource Groups, managed identities, application registrations
- Solid understanding of cloud security, identity and networking concepts
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with technical professionals and non-technical experts.
- Maintaining currency in technological trends and directions; continually upgrading personal, technical skills

What we’re offering
This position is eligible for base salary and annual incentive based on individual and enterprise performance. Base Salary starting at $112,300 to $122,300 with future opportunity of up to $133,900.
