Senior Project Coordinator, BC Projects (1 Year Contract)
About the role
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Business Integration, this position is responsible for providing support in the planning, execution, tracking and reporting of projects in British Columbia, as assigned.
Key Accountabilities:
Project Management
- Responsible for establishing project team meetings, including facilitation and taking and distributing minutes
- Tracking and coordinating project activities across all phases of project work
- Project planning, budgeting and identification of resources required
- Provide accurate and relevant data on project progress; review and provide recommendations to the Senior Management team as required
- Establishing and administering virtual data rooms in support of corporate strategic initiatives
- Assisting in sourcing and redacting internal documentation for inclusion in data rooms as required
- Assists and/or plans project timelines, phases and milestones of assigned projects
- Prepare status reports as required
Stakeholder Management
- Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and Regulators as required.
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders and project related personnel.
Additional Duties
- Assists in the planning and booking of travel requirements for project team members as required
- Liaising with vendors and suppliers regarding certain administrative matters
- Budget tracking and reporting for corporate strategic initiatives
- Create Purchase Orders as required
- Assists in other initiatives as required;
Education and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Project Coordinator experience, or a suitable combination of education and/or experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management tools (MS Project)
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent problem solving, time management and prioritization skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently (remotely) and in a team-based environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to exceed internal and external stakeholder expectations through timely, effective and concise communication
