Position: Overnight Crisis Intervention Worker Term: Permanent Full-Time Department: Oneida Family Healing Lodge Division: Community and Social Services Salary: Competitive salary range Hours: 36 hours per week, Thursday to Saturday, 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Required Flexibility is required to accommodate alternate shift rotations based on operational needs. Rotations may include day, evening, weekend, and statutory holiday shifts. Posting Date: February 27, 2026 Closing Date: March 13, 2026, at 4:30p.m. Job Summary This position will work out of the Oneida Family Healing Lodge to provide support to individuals and families in crisis situations. The ideal employee will be an energetic, innovative, demonstrating initiative in fulfilling the Oneida Family Healing Lodge mandate and vision. Staff will provide respectful, culturally grounded care while role-modeling positive and healthy leadership qualities to all clientele. This includes helping new residents adjust to shelter life by explaining routines, house guidelines, and available resources.

General responsibilities include providing residential and non-residential clients with basic counselling, support group facilitation, education and awareness information on family/domestic violence and human trafficking.

The Oneida Family Healing Lodge is a service facility operating 24-7 and staff are required to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and shift rotation.

Education

• A Social Service Worker Diploma is preferred.
• Candidates currently enrolled in a Social Service Worker program may be considered.
• Candidates with equivalent or related educational credentials may also be considered.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a shelter or social services environment – preferably with women and children facing homelessness, domestic violence, or abuse – is considered an asset.
• Experience supporting First Nations children, youth, and families is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family and/or domestic violence is essential.
• A valid Class “G” driver’s license and use of a company vehicle are required.
