Scope

The Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Specialist administers, supports, and continuously improves the organization’s Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Endpoint Manager environments. The role combines cloud workplace administration, endpoint management, security and compliance support, automation, service provider coordination, and technical support for users and application managers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Administer and manage the Microsoft 365 environment, including day-to-day operations, service health, support activities, and continuous improvement. Implement, monitor, and support Microsoft 365 security and compliance policies, including administration activities related to the Security and Compliance Center. Administer, maintain, operate, and manage clients and services through Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Script, package, deploy, and maintain software using Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, and related tools. Assist users with technical issues and resolve disruptions within the Microsoft 365 and endpoint environment. Integrate Microsoft 365 and endpoint services with other IT systems and participate in the integration of systems into the existing IT infrastructure. Automate routine administrative tasks using scripts and appropriate tooling to improve reliability, efficiency, and repeatability. Coordinate and align with external service providers on operational topics, incident handling, configuration changes, and service improvements. Coordinate configuration and service changes, ensuring technical impacts, dependencies, and stakeholder needs are considered. Provide technical support to application managers and internal customers on Microsoft 365, endpoint, and infrastructure-related matters. Participate in the further development of the IT system landscape based on requirements from new infrastructure projects. Support test management, scripting, and validation activities for changes, integrations, and deployments. Take on special tasks and contribute to cross-functional IT initiatives as required.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and operations. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance concepts and administration. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Microsoft Intune. In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and endpoint lifecycle management. Strong scripting capability, preferably with Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, and related automation tools. Professional experience in test management, scripting, software packaging, and deployment activities. Project management experience integrating complex information systems into a heterogeneous IT infrastructure. Completed training or certifications in the relevant field of work or product environment. Several years of professional experience in a comparable Microsoft 365, endpoint, infrastructure, or workplace IT role. Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.

MTU Maintenance Canada Ltd. is an organization that is approved by the Federal Aviation Association (FAA), Transport Canada and other aviation authorities to inspect, maintain, repair, overhaul and test aircraft engines, modules, and components. MTU Canada is a North American member of the MTU Maintenance networks of companies, one of the largest provider of independent commercial engine services worldwide. The Canadian operations base serves in two locations in Delta and Richmond, British Columbia.

The Delta operations facility holds OEM technical data licenses required to maintain, repair and overhaul GE, IAE and CFMI engines: CF6-80, CFM56-2/3/7, F108, F138 and V2500 as well as a variety of other OEM licenses to perform MRO services on engine accessories for these and several other engine types. In 2022, MTU provided maintenance for V2500 and CF6-80 operators and owners and for the F108 and the F138 under USAF contracts.
