2 – Your missions
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development and execution of a Small Modular Reactor (SMR) project in Ontario. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, integration, and verification of electrical systems within a nuclear environment, with a strong focus on power distribution systems , instrumentation and control (I&C) , and low- and medium-voltage systems .
- Design, review, and validate electrical power distribution systems for nuclear facilities, including low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) networks.
- Support the engineering of instrumentation and control (I&C) electrical interfaces and power supplies.
- Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and technical calculations.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (CSA, IEEE, IEC, CNSC).
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, I&C, safety, licensing).
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
- Perform technical evaluations of suppliers and contractors.
- Support safety analyses and contribute to nuclear licensing documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, hazard analyses, and verification & validation activities.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance and configuration management processes applicable to nuclear projects.
3 – Who You Are
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering .
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering for nuclear projects.
- Strong expertise in: Power Distribution Systems, Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems, Instrumentation & Control (I&C) electrical interface
- Proven experience in nuclear projects is highly preferred (SMR, large reactors, or nuclear fuel cycle facilities)
- Familiarity with nuclear safety classifications and design requirement
- Must be eligible for Canadian Nuclear Security Clearance .
