Your Impact

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (STPM) you will drive cross-functional engineering projects, ensure successful delivery while balancing scope, timeline, and risks. Your role is pivotal in shaping the evolution of OpenText’s Cloud platforms and applications, a highly visible and strategic area within our organization.

You will work closely with teams across Engineering, Product Management, Cloud Operations, Professional Services, and Customer Support, aligning priorities and ensuring seamless execution.

What the role offers

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent projects from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Lead and evolve a focused team within the Engineering PMO function, including people management, process improvement, and strategic planning.
  • Oversee a portfolio of technical projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to define project scope, objectives, milestones, and success criteria.
  • Drive program governance, managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring executive visibility.
  • Act as a single point of contact for program execution, providing timely updates, risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and remove impediments to project success, maintaining focus on delivering value.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and escalations across the portfolio, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.

What you need to succeed:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business
  • 8–10 years of experience in project/program management within the software or cloud industry,
  • 3–5 years experience in a leadership or PMO role.
  • PMP certification is required; additional certifications such as PgMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe are highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery models.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional software and Cloud programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to VP and C-level executives.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and managing across time zones.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
