Position Overview As we are a member-driven organization, the Membership Engagement Advisor will be responsible for stewarding and retaining the Chamber’s membership base. Reporting to the Manager, Member Engagement, this role supports the execution of membership renewal initiatives, including supporting membership initiatives, membership reporting, stewarding current members and administrative duties associated to maintaining the membership database.
This role is required to function in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities. As a motivated self-starter, you are organized, able to chase and follow-up, but not afraid to ask questions when needed. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to converse with all levels of an organization is required.
Key Responsibilities Membership Engagement and Stewardship
- Execute all relationship management functions for membership, including stewardship, execution of member benefits, tracking information in the Chamber’s CRM, and supporting members through annual renewals.
- Meet annual membership retention targets.
- Maintain regular and on-going correspondence and communication with all assigned accounts.
- Support data integrity management within our CRM.
- Support with membership administrative duties as required.
- Discuss sponsorship opportunities with members whenever possible.
- Play a role in developing and implementing an overall strategy for membership retention.
- Attend Calgary Chamber events to support the events team on event logistics and engage with our members.
- Collaborate with other units at the Calgary Chamber to identify member opportunities.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in customer service and experience, hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience using a CRM is required.
- Proven ability to build and steward client/customer relationships.
- Must be self-motivated proactive, energetic and goal oriented.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both independently and with others.
- Confident, clear communications and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to support on event execution, jump in on projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively at times under tight deadlines.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Must be able to take initiative, multi-task and manage competing priorities.
- Must be flexible, punctual and adaptable to change.

- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday; hybrid work schedule
- Compensation: Competitive salary, vacation & benefits including access to the Ampersand building gym and recreation facilities, holiday office closure, flex days, RRSP matching and performance-based bonus.
