Administrator, Treasury Services
The Administrator, Treasury Services is a hands-on role responsible for executing the day-to-day treasury operations of the company and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the VP, Finance, this role carries out cash management activities, banking administration, trade finance processing, and treasury reporting. The Administrator is the primary executor of treasury processes and the main point of contact for routine banking matters and internal finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Management & Liquidity
- Monitor daily cash positions across all corporate bank accounts and subsidiaries, identifying and escalating material variances to VP, Finance.
- Collect and consolidate cash flow forecasts from Business Unit Finance leaders to maintain an accurate view of the consolidated entity’s liquidity.
- Execute intercompany transfers, fund movements, and short-term funding transactions as directed.
- Process AP payments in coordination with the Finance team, ensuring approvals are in place and timing is optimized.
Banking & Credit Facility Administration
- Act as the day-to-day operational contact for banks and financial service providers, handling routine inquiries and transactions.
- Execute drawdowns, repayments, and rollovers on corporate credit facilities, including the Corporate Revolver and Letter of Credit facilities.
- Track credit facility utilization, maintain accurate records, and prepare covenant compliance submissions on schedule.
- Keep bank account records, authorized signatories, and banking portal access up to date.
Trade Finance
- Process letters of credit and bank guarantees end-to-end, including applications, amendments, renewals, and closures.
- Track all outstanding trade finance instruments, monitor expiry dates, and action renewals in advance.
- Liaise with banks to resolve LC discrepancies and ensure timely document presentation.
- Maintain accurate trade finance records and reconcile outstanding instruments against internal schedules.
Treasury Reporting
- Prepare and distribute regular treasury reports to VP, Finance, including daily cash position summaries, monthly liquidity reports, debt capacity schedules, and FX exposure updates.
- Maintain treasury records and documentation in accordance with corporate policies, ensuring files are organized and audit-ready.
- Execute fraud prevention controls, flag suspicious transactions, and escalate anomalies as appropriate.
- Compile supporting schedules and data for internal and external audit requests related to treasury.
FX & Interest Rate Risk
- Execute FX hedging transactions as directed, ensuring accurate confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Track foreign currency and interest rate exposures across the corporate and subsidiary levels and prepare regular exposure reports.
- Maintain hedging transaction logs, trade confirmations, and related documentation.
- Monitor natural hedging opportunities by tracking cash inflows and outflows across currencies and flagging imbalances.
Cross-Functional Support
- Work with Accounting, FP&A, Legal and Tax teams to provide treasury data and execute treasury-related tasks for new projects, acquisitions, and ad hoc requests
- Contribute to treasury process improvements and system updates as the function evolves.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 -5 years of hands-on experience in a treasury operations, cash management, or banking operations role within a corporate finance or treasury department.
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Practical experience executing cash management transactions, credit facility administration, and trade finance processing.
- Familiarity with FX transactions and hedging instruments from an operational standpoint.
- Experience working directly with banks on day-to-day operational matters.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; experience with treasury management systems or ERP platforms is an asset.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing and financial record-keeping.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior finance leadership.
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain strong controls.
We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Employees have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance. The expected compensation range for this position is: $70.000 to $90,000.
The actual compensation may vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
