In this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Exhibit Product Analyst to join our team! Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of exhibits for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and analyze data from property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies, particularly focusing on automobile insurance data.
  • Communicate and coordinating with insurance companies to collect data on claims, expenses, and reserves related to automobile insurance. You will apply actuarial techniques to improve the accuracy of statistical data.
  • Assist in designing, prototyping, and overseeing the implementation of statistical products that effectively address the evolving business requirements of regulators.
  • Collaborate with the Data Quality team will be necessary to ensure the accuracy and validity of submitted data sets.
  • Attention to detail, a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines, and proactive problem-solving abilities are important aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data quality tools and techniques, with experience in data cleansing, data profiling, and data validation.
  • Excellent knowledge of P&C auto insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements in Canada.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels effectively.
  • A detail-oriented mindset is essential to ensure accuracy and completeness of work.
  • The capacity to work independently as well as part of a team, contributing to collaborative efforts.

This role requires a combination of technical skills, industry knowledge, and attention to detail. By fulfilling these responsibilities and requirements, you will contribute to the accurate analysis and interpretation of automobile insurance data, supporting the development of statistical reports and products in accordance with business requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Role is located at the Client Innovation Centre in Bedford, Nova Scotia or Client Innovation Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick

Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Experience in the Property & Casualty - Automobile Insurance industry in Canada, demonstrating a deep understanding of insurance operations and the insurance industry value chain.
  • A post-secondary degree in a relevant field such as Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A proven track record in data analysis, preferably within the insurance industry. Strong analytical skills are required to manipulate and interpret complex data sets effectively.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Create and share reports for various provinces and territories in Canada, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Extract and query databases, utilizing historical data to generate statistical information and produce exhibit reports, tables, and graphs.
