About the role
Summary Of The Role Mammoet is looking for a task-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our Tendering and Estimating team in the Edmonton region. This role will be responsible for the creation of basic estimate packages in alignment with internal bidding protocols as well as collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. This ensures that the company receives well-considered, comprehensive proposals that meet both customer expectations and internal bidding standards, all within the established timelines.
What You’ll Be Doing Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner
- Contribute to and implement Tendering/Estimating policy and determine execution strategies in line with the sales strategy
- Estimates the cost of work and provide quotes to the client
- Follows up with clients to determine the status of the quoted work and answer any questions they may have
- Gathering data from various sources (databases, APIs, surveys, etc.), ensuring data accuracy and consistency, and maintaining data systems
- Developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders, using tools like Power BI, or similar
- Working with cross-functional teams, including business users and technical teams, to understand requirements, present findings, and collaborate on solutions
- Identifying opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, and suggesting solutions for data quality issues
- Assist with implementation and training of new software system
What You’ll Need Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in a related technical field preferred (CET, EIT)
- Heavy Lift/Crane/Transport technical understanding desired
- Industrial or Pre-Construction Management experience in similar industry
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and interpretation.
- Basic level experience in sales systems
- Knowledge of Power BI is an asset
