About the role

Position Overview – Accounting Administrator

The accounting administrator will support several initiatives within the finance department from financial analysis, payable and receivables to supporting our operational groups through supporting process improvements within the finance department. This role will provide the right individual with a foundational understanding of a finance department with future growth potential.

Job Duties

  • Assist in Variance analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating of financial reporting models.
  • Work with other stakeholders to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Investigating, reconcile and update unmatched carrier invoices.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and processing of carrier invoices.
  • Generate and process customer invoices and statements.
  • Setup of customers to our accounting and finance systems.
  • Matching payments to bank reconciliations, differentiating between AR deposits vs. other (claims, refunds, etc.) and application of customer payments.
  • Reconcile remittances with deposits, track and trace missing remittances and request backup from customers where necessary.
  • Participating in the full cycle of Accounts Receivables, including but not limited to tracking, updating, and collecting customer Accounts.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary degree in business/accounting
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience
  • Previous experience with Dynamics GP would be beneficial
